Will the traditional emergency numbers remain active?

Yes, the 113 (Public Safety), 115 (Fire Service), 118 (Emergency Medical Services) and 1530 (Coastguard) numbers will remain active.

Citizens can continue to call them and their calls will be automatically routed to the Public-Safety Answering Points of the Single European Emergency Number which will forward them to the operations centres of the relevant service as required.
